Verbiage submission
Verbiage submission
As we've discussed at the last couple of meetings, we are exploring the possibility of erecting a Tomb for the Unborn or something like it somewhere on Good Shepherd grounds.
At the last meeting, Br. Danny Thomas (PGK) advised he had a large piece of Italian marble that could be used for the project. He also submitted a draft of verbiage that could be used (inserted below, unedited). His idea is that rather than a Tomb for the Unborn, a tribute to Motherhood might be less inciteful or devisive and potentially less of a magnet for vandals. The general theme and certainly the actual verbiage are still open for discussion.
Gil and Erik are looking at the costs for a plaque that could be embedded in the marble. Danny advises he could engrave some or all of the words into the marble. He also advises he could carve the top of the block down so that the shape of an open book is at the top of the block, into which some of the words could be engraved.
Certainly, all ideas are welcome and many decisions have yet to be made.
